Wyo 131 Gravel Grinder

WYO131

In our opinion, this is the best gravel course ever created. This rugged course is well known for pushing riders to their limit while carrying them on a journey across a diverse array of Wyoming ecosystems — from the sage brush seas surrounding the Red Desert to the subalpine lakes of the Wind River Range.

This is not a ride for beginners. There will be pain and suffering. There will be rough roads. There will be cut off times. Some people will not finish. You’ll need hard-core gravel and endurance experience before taking on this route. There are several crew accessible bail-points and a shuttle.

There are 4 routes available to ride at WYO 131": 131 miles, 75 miles, 45 miles, and 12 miles. For more info on this event, please click the link below.

Colter Cup DH (Series Race #2)

Ever wanted to let it rip from the summit of Fred’s Mountain at Grand Targhee, down Mill Creek, all the way into Teton Canyon? Saturday, July 19th, 2025 is your chance to take plunge, score points in the 2025 Targhee Summer DH Race Series and potentially take the crown!

The 2nd Annual Colter Cup is Targhee’s premier downhill race and the longest downhill race in the Tetons. With 3900’ vertical feet of descent that carries you from the top of Grand Targhee to the bottom of Teton Canyon, this is the only race that leaves the boundaries of the resort and drops you from 10,000’ all the way to Teton Valley.

A time-trial format will have you racing against the clock but choose your bike wisely as there are a couple of short, punchy climbs on the course!

*Targhee Summer DH Race Series registration is NOT required to race in the Colter Cup.

Mountain Bluebird Gravel Ride

Mountain Bluebird Gravel Ride

Mountain bluebirds are back, the bright feathers flashing against the snow covered sagebrush; nothing else signals that it IS time to ride better. The reality (i.e., cold headwind on the way home), however, is that putting in those early season miles in Jackson Hole can be tough to motivate for unless you get some folks to suffer a little with ya. Hence the Mountain Bluebird group ride. With a good 15 year run (minus Covid), the "Bluebird Classic" has become a welcomed event to spring riding as we look forward to summer. We might even raise a little money for JHWF's bluebird conservation efforts.Bring a buddy to help ensure you get home all right. Or, make a friend or two by bringing extra snacks to share. We generally “end” at Pearl Street Bagels.

The Mountain Bluebird Classic has brought riders together for over 15 years (with a brief pause during Covid) to kick off the cycling season with shared miles and a shared purpose—supporting the Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation’s (JHWF) Mountain Bluebird Nestbox and Color Banding Project.

Why It Matters:

  • Since 2003, JHWF has maintained a 6.1-mile bluebird trail along the National Elk Refuge, consisting of 110 nestboxes.

  • In 2024, volunteers monitored these boxes and documented 98 Mountain Bluebird eggs laid, with a 79.6% fledging success rate.

  • Our color-banding initiative, launched in 2017, continues to yield valuable data on breeding site fidelity, survivorship, and dispersal.

Meet at Jackson Hole High School, we will leaving at 10:00am

Be ready for 40ish miles of fun (route linked below)

Bring snacks and lots of water!
