Fat Biking

Fat biking etiquette:

  • Bikers yield to all other users

  • Be respectful to fellow trail users. Slow down, smile, and wave!

  • FAT BIKE LANE - when on a wide groomed trail with nordic ski tracks, ride on the OPPOSITE side from the classic ski tracks.

  • Never ride in the classic ski tracks - this ruins the trail for everyone else.

  • Allow time for the groom to settle. If you are sinking more than an inch, turn around and give it time to freeze.

  • 3.8 tires or wider are recommended. your tires should also be in the 4-8psi range

  • Use your resources. Know the trail conditions, check the weather, and check the grooming status

  • Watch out for wildlife! Turn around if animals are in the way.

  • Support your groomers - We are so lucky to have the grooming that we do. Please support by donating.
