Bicycle Film Festival

Friends of Pathways presents Bicycle Film Festival Jackson Hole.

Join us for a curated screening of short films celebrating the bicycle – plus a bike vendor village, food, and drinks. BFF festival director, Brendt Barbur will be in attendance.

Location: Center for the Arts

Tickets: $28 (Click Here)

Doors open at 5:30pm

Film starts at 7:00pm

Documentaries, narratives, animations, award-winning directors, and emerging talents – all share equal billing. Doors open at 5:30 with art, music, food, drinks, and a vendor village. Mingle with your friends in the Center lobby, then take a journey around the globe. BFF Jackson Hole features curated stories about:

  • A charismatic Ghanaian immigrant in Amsterdam who teaches refugee adult women to ride bikes

  • A bicycle takeover and one of the United State’s largest, most anticipated street riding events on the bikelife calendar attracting riders from the wheeling community worldwide

  • Kailey Kornhauser and fellow “fat cyclist” Marley Blonsky are on a mission to change the idea that people with larger bodies can’t ride bikes

  • Cycle sport as relief from genocide

  • The life of a New York City food delivery worker

  • A family gives up everything to be together in their motorhome, traveling from bike park to bike park across Europe

  • A rural migrant worker in China uses the bicycle to buy and collect styrofoam boxes (score by Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs)

  • The story of 17-year-old Nigel James, a Diné mountain biker who hosts the first ever Enduro race in the Navajo Nation, and honors their land, community, and culture through revitalizing trails

Founded in New York, Bicycle Film Festival has been celebrating bicycles through art, film, and music for the last 25 years. BFF has spanned the world in over 100 cities, to an audience of over 1 million people. The international locales included Paris, London, Tokyo, Shanghai, Mexico City, Cape Town, and Istanbul and more at some of the most important venues such as Sydney Opera House and the Barbican or an old factory in Zurich.

The subcultures of cycling have shared equal billing with the most exciting innovators in music, art, design and film. Past participants have included: Erykah Badu, Karl Lagerfeld, Francesco Clemente, Shepard Fairey, Albert Maysles, Michel Gondry, Spike Jonze, Alex Katz, Kaws, Gavin Turk, Mike Mills, Paul Smith, the Neistat Brothers, Tom Sachs, Ridley Scott, Kiki Smith, Swoon, and Ai Weiwei.

Support Friends of Pathways and join us in kicking off cycling season with the Bicycle Film Festival!

About Friends of Pathways: Friends of Pathways champions a safe, connected system of pathways, trails, bike lanes and sidewalks that encourage active transportation and healthy recreation in our Jackson Hole community.

Wyo 131 Gravel Grinder

WYO131

In our opinion, this is the best gravel course ever created. This rugged course is well known for pushing riders to their limit while carrying them on a journey across a diverse array of Wyoming ecosystems — from the sage brush seas surrounding the Red Desert to the subalpine lakes of the Wind River Range.

This is not a ride for beginners. There will be pain and suffering. There will be rough roads. There will be cut off times. Some people will not finish. You’ll need hard-core gravel and endurance experience before taking on this route. There are several crew accessible bail-points and a shuttle.

There are 4 routes available to ride at WYO 131": 131 miles, 75 miles, 45 miles, and 12 miles. For more info on this event, please click the link below.

East Idaho Epic

East Idaho Epic

NEW DATE - September 28, 2024 (the last Saturday of September) through October 1ish. Mark your calendar! This date is driven by one principal goal:

  • De-conflict with Smoke and Fire (Sept 4, 2024). This will allow the potential for those who want to ride both the Smoke and Fire and the East Idaho Epic to do so.

I hope that this change encourages the Idaho Women's Bikepacking to travel east for this event. Also:

  • NEW ROUTE -- look for RideWithGPS route in the coming months. New route will keep the best of what we have been riding in the Pioneer 400 and Fitz/Joy 400, but will no longer include the flat urban Logan, UT area. Instead, we will push a bit further east into some magnificent and remote country near the WY border. It will be even more stunning than the pretty ride we have enjoyed in the past (I promise!).

  • This will continue to be a Trackleaders event.

More details to follow. This is going to be a blast! Get riding, my friends!

Wydaho Bike Fest

What do you get when you combine all things mountain biking with one of the most scenic and mountainous locations between Wyoming and Idaho? You get the Wydaho Rendezvous Teton Bike Fest, a weekend full of downhill trails, skills clinics, bike demos, and group rides.

The Wydaho Rendezvous Teton Bike Fest is a four-day festival that gives mountain bike riders the opportunity to try the latest bike equipment with no commitment. Unlike some mountain bike festivals, the Wydaho Rendezvous demos bikes free of charge, so everyone gets a chance to see the latest gear with the cost of admission. Ticket tiers vary depending on age, time of purchase, and what kind of experience the attendee desires. Flexible ticket options give riders of all levels and abilities a path to experience the mountain biking community, affordably.

The festival offers more than just demos and riding. Mountain biking families may sign up for family-friendly clinics, and advanced riders who need specialized instruction on certain maneuvers or the parts of a bike have clinics suited for them. Women, beginner riders, and riders with adapted needs have clinics geared for them as well. The Wydaho Rendezvous is an inclusive event that aims to accommodate every type of rider.

The best part about the weekend, aside from the bikes and the fun, is that it takes place in one of the most scenic locations in the Western United States. People who love outdoor experiences, like RV or van camping, have the opportunity to combine two adventurous activities, all within the shadows of the Rocky Mountains.

Caribou Jack Enduro

Join us for a 1 day, 4 stage, blind-format, backcountry enduro race that will leave you with a good story.

We've always aimed for this event to embody the spirit of a big, excellent 'group ride.' This year, we're organizing it exactly like that - as one cohesive group journeying through the backcountry. Racers, medical staff, timers, and operations will all be on the course together. We believe this approach will help minimize risks, facilitate quick operational decisions if necessary, and enhance the overall experience.

This year, we kindly request that racers stay at the venue on Friday night to facilitate early morning departures on Saturday. Shuttles will be provided to transport racers to and from the trailhead from this year’s race venue. Expect a full, action packed day on your bike: 50 riders, ~20miles, ~6,000’ vertical, 1 most excellent adventure. Before registering, please ensure you're comfortable riding in advanced terrain and ready for a day in the saddle lasting at least 6 hours. 🤘

Registration Includes:

  • Friday & Saturday night camp venue

  • A BIG day on raw, backcountry singletrack

  • RFID timing

  • First aid on course

  • Friday night cookout

  • Saturday post race meal

  • Libations (21+) at the finish line

  • All profits go to MBT’s trail initiatives

  • Good times

This event will be held on United States Forest Service land and is operated under a Special Use Permit issued by the Caribou-Targhee National Forest.
